BandLAN® Utilities and Information
To listen to music provided by BandLAN you will first need to install player software. The player you install is determined by the type of computer you have and personal preferences. We provide several players here and there are more available every day on the net. We suggest Winplay3 (or MacPlay3) since it is simple to use and is easy to install. The player allows you to listen to MPEG Layer 3 (also known as MP3) audio directly from the internet, it also allows you to save the audio on your computer for playback at a later time.
Overview of installation procedure:
1) Download the player from our site to a temporary folder in your computer.
2) Install the player by running the downloaded program.
3) Register the player with your Netscape or IE3+ browser so that it will automatically recognize MPEG Layer3 format audio (*.mp3) and playlist (*.m3u) MIME types.
