Netscape Configuration
The following explains how to configure your Netscape Navigator to recognize
Layer 3 Audio MIME types.
Adding the audio/x-mpeg and audio/x-mpegurl MIME types
- Adding the audio/x-mpeg Type (See Figure1. below)
- Open the "Options->Preferences" Dialog.
- Press the "Create New Type..." Button.
- type "audio" (without the ") in the Mime Type field.
- type "x-mpeg" (without the ") in the Mime SubtypeType
field.
- press "OK"
- add"mp3" in the file extensions field
- press the "Launch the application" radio button.
- press the "Browse..." Button to insert the path to winplay3.exe

- Press the "Create New Type..." Button.
- type "audio" (without the ") in the Mime Type field.
- type "x-mpegurl" (without the ") in the Mime SubtypeType
field.
- press "OK"
- add"m3u" in the file extensions field
- press the "Launch the application" radio button.
- press the "Browse..." Button to insert the path to winplay3.exe
- add a " /l" after the filename in the field.
